I’m Gem and I’m from West Yorkshire. I’m a wheelchair user that enjoys a lot of things in life. I love to analyse the experiences I have, then share them – probably with jokes in between.
When I was younger, there weren’t many disabled people in the media so I want to make sure I add my sparkle to the tiny part of the internet on this page. Oh I also have a condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (type 3) aka Brittle Bones, because some people like the deets.
Let's talk about disability in a fun and genuine way…

In the past I’ve worked in a number of areas since graduating University, including in Equality and Inclusion, Higher Education, Disability training and Communications. I’ve been a trustee of a charity as well as employing my own PA’s from the age of 18.
I now use my years of experience to create content, speak and consult around these areas – specifically around disability.
